About MythWar 2 Online
Myth War 2 Online is a 2D fantasy-themed massive multiplayer role playing game (MMORPG). Combat occurs similar to old role playing games (RPGs) such as Final Fantasy where a player forms a party and the sides take turns attacking each other. This style of gameplay is created to appeal to nostalgic classic RPG players.
History of Myth War 2 Online
MythWar 2 Online predecessor MythWar Online was developed by a Chinese game development studio Unigium. In 2005 MythWar Online was released in China as a free-to-play game and western release followed in 2006. The publisher of the international English version of the game in the west was company named IGG.
MythWar Online international English version ran from 2006 to 2009 when it was shut down to be replaced by it's sequel MythWar 2 Online. MythWar 2 Online English version ran and was published by IGG from 2009 until January 2015, when it was shut down.
Few months later in 2015 new Chinese based company named TDT picked up MythWar 2 license from IGG and re-opened MythWar 2 Online. Few more months later the game went from free-to-play to buy-to-play model with an 5$ account activation fee.
